Disney Cruise Anyone?

That title might be a bit of a teaser. No, I'm not giving away a Disney cruise. If I had a cruise to give away, I'd be on that cruise right now! Yes, I'm selfish that way.

We are, however, considering a Disney cruise for next year's vacation. 7 nights, lots of activities for all ages, basking in the Caribbean sun, etc. It sounds like a great time. But is it? Has anyone out there taken a Disney cruise? Can anyone out there tell me if it would be as much as fun as it seems? Our boys will be 5 and 3 by the time we would cruise. If you have taken this trip, please leave me a comment or an email and let me know if this cruise was a blast or bust! If you know of someone who has taken this trip, please send them over to my blog.

I haven't been on a Disney Cruise, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night! HA! Just Kidding. We haven't been, but we did look in to it. Dan and I ended up going on a cruise without the kids, which we absolutely loved and will totally do again . . . at 2 of our ports we met up with the same Disney Cruise ship - everyone we talked to absolutely LOVED it (we were feeling them out to see if we'd want to do it with the kids). Said they were having a great time and would totally do it again. One family had young teenagers, another had 7, 10, and 13 year olds, and the other had an infant and a toddler. All said it was great. So I can only offer up that testimonial . . . although I've never been on a Disney cruise. On a side note, the Travel Channel special on the making of a Disney Ship is amazing!

Good luck!

I've been on 2 Disney Cruises! And IT IS THE BEST! Just like the parks' attention to detail, the cruise is the same way. The food, the entertainment--fabulous!

As far as the kids' stuff--I only looked at it b/c the kids with us were too young. But I can tell you it was awesome and there were always lots of adults around. I talked to one mom who said she hadn't seen her daughter all day b/c the daughter wanted to stay w/her "class".

We're planning a cruise in 2009 so my daughter and niece will be old enough to go into the kids' area.

The other thing is that it is "family"--the entertainment was G rated, they didn't push alcohol everywhere, etc.

But they do have an adult only pool, restaurant and beach at their island.

I promise I could go on forever!!

my brother and sister in law swear by cruises. They have a 10 and 4 year old. The 10 year old has been on 3. Go for it.

I say go for it! I don't like cruises for just the hubs and I because we like to be spontaneous and do whatever we want, but with kids ona cruise, I think that would be perfect.

They would love it.
