We had corn on the cob for dinner last night, and Rick mentioned his need for dental floss as we finished eating. When Garrett (2 1/2) asked to be excused from the table, he also requested "Santa Claus".
Me: Garrett, I can't give you Santa Claus.
G: No, senta cwaus!
Me: Oh! Dental floss, yes! Go ask Daddy.

Ami,
That's great! My eldest (now 13) used to call it "mental floss" -- I need that, too, I think! I enjoyed reading your blog. Your boys are precious!
Very cute. I just love the things kids say.
I am so glad I am not the only one that happens too!
Sometimes I have to say "WHAT?" about 3 times in a row just to try and figure our what my 3 year old is saying. I always think I must be a terrible mother that can't figure out what this poor child is trying to say to me.
These kids speak their own language sometimes, but it sure is fun to hear!!
Totally impressed you figured that one out. So cute.
I just love that pic of your little guys over there on the sidebar...it makes me smile :)
hahahahaha!!!
