WFMW: Putty on the Carpet

My question is this: Does anyone know how to get silly putty out of carpet?

Not that I need to know for any good reason, Hubby!

Not quite sure. We've dealt with play dough. We just let it dry completely and then scrape it away.

I wouldn't use water, but you might try freezing it with an ice cube and seeing if it will break away then.
